Competitive tournament play under lights
Pillar 04: Compete

Compete.

Training only means something once it is under pressure. When you are ready we give you somewhere to test it — a ladder, a club night, a draw — and we build the game plan with you before you walk on.

The building blocks

What we teach.

  • Ladders — ongoing rankings you can climb, no travel and no entry fee
  • Club nights with a competitive format and a result at the end
  • Open tournaments: how the draws work, what to enter first, and what to expect on the day
  • Match strategy — stacking, targeting the weaker side, changing a plan mid-match
  • Partner work: communication, court coverage and who takes the middle
  • DUPR — what it is, where you sit, and how divisions are banded
  • Your game plan: strengths, patterns to lean on, and the two things to do when it goes wrong

The progression

How we build it.

01

Start on a ladder

Competitive stakes with none of the tournament logistics. The easiest first step from social play.

02

Pick the right first draw

A local doubles event in the lowest bracket you qualify for, with a partner you already play with. Ask and we will point you at the right one.

03

Prepare properly

Tournament-specific coaching blocks and video review, so you arrive with a plan rather than a hope.

04

We make the game plan together

Before the event we sit down and write it: your patterns, your partner's, what you do against a banger, what you do when the drops stop landing. Afterwards we review it and set the next block.

Questions

Before you ask.

What is DUPR?

A global rating system for pickleball. It sets which division you play in, and it moves with your results.

I have never entered a tournament. Where do I start?

A ladder or a club night first, then a local doubles event in the lowest bracket you qualify for.

Do you build the game plan for me?

With you. It is your game — we bring the pattern-spotting and the honest feedback.

Every pillar runs through our lessons, terms and events.

Technique to build it, fitness to hold it, fun to keep you here, competition to test it. Every session we plan draws on all four.
